This five-course suite presents basic scientific and medical information about the cell cycle, oncology, and tumor growth. The Cell Cycle course explains the cell cycle and its regulation. The Apoptosis and Oncogenes course describes how the loss of cell cycle regulation leads to uncontrolled growth of cells. The Metastasis and Staging course describes the mechanism by which a cancer can spread through the body, and explains how the TNM system is used to classify and assess the stage of disease progression. The System Involvement course explores the way various body systems interact, influence, or become co-opted by cancerous cells. The Treatment course provides an overview of the various treatment options available to oncologists and patients.
